In this episode, 'The Big Filth', Joe Friday and a policewoman find children living in squalid conditions and search for their mother.

"You're a detective sergeant. You're assigned to Juvenile Detail. Four children in your city have apparently been abandoned by their mother. There's no trace of the woman's whereabouts. There's a possibility of foul play . . . "
